AI for Government
The AI for Government training is a flexible programme delivered online or in person for groups of 15–40 government officials, parliamentarians, and ministry teams. Developed by UNDP’s Chief Digital Office, the training builds a comprehensive understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications in governance, citizen engagement, and public service delivery. Through interactive modules in English, French, and Spanish, participants explore global best practices in AI regulation, implementation, and ethics. The programme equips officials to act as regulators (crafting policies and addressing bias, transparency, and accountability), as users (leveraging AI for evidence-based policymaking and improved service delivery), and as enablers (fostering innovation ecosystems, building partnerships, and developing institutional capacity for sustainable and inclusive AI integration).
