Group of Friends

 

The Group of Friends of FutureGov emerged as an outcome of the FutureGov High-Impact Initiative (HII) on Building Public Sector Capabilities of the Future. It is an informal, consultative network of countries and organizations committed to strengthening the public sector to advance the SDGs and national priorities.

 

Bringing together a coalition of countries, senior government officials, civil servants, development actors and key stakeholders at national and local levels, the Group operates on a voluntary basis to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange.

 

The Group of Friends:

  • Holds informal consultations on FutureGov-related initiatives; 
  • Shares country experiences, case studies, and lessons learned through the FutureGov Facility;
  • Advocates for public sector transformation and the impact of FutureGov outcomes;
  • Provides informal advice and recommendations to the FutureGov Facility;
  • Connects FutureGov with organizations and communities engaged in public sector transformation, institutional reform, and related efforts.

Members

Countries that have participated in the initial meetings or expressed interest in the Group of Friends include: 


Bangladesh, Brazil, Ecuador, Georgia, Italy, Japan, Morocco, Panama, Republic of Korea, Romania, Rwanda, Singapore, Thailand and United Arab Emirates.
