  3. –

Presentation: Working together to deliver human-centered public administrative services: the OECD–UNDP–World Bank partnership in practice

During this session, the OECD and UNDP will elaborate on the partnership and its advantages and present the complementary tools and approaches they each bring: the OECD’s standards, analytical and benchmarking work and peer learning, including the Recommendation on Human-Centered Public Administrative Services, the recently launched ‘Serving Citizens’ survey; and UNDP’s country presence, implementation support, capacity development programmes and FutureGov tools. Short examples of ongoing and upcoming joint work in Thailand will illustrate how these come together at country level.

Presentation followed by questions and answers.

Objective

This meeting aims to explore how governments can make public services more human-centered and effective particularly in OECD partner and non-Member countries, drawing on OECD, UNDP and World Bank’s standards and recent experiences and practical examples from a number of countries. It also introduces a new model for collaboration between the OECD, UNDP and the WB as well as other partners leveraging the FutureGOV coalition.

The meeting brings together policymakers, international organisations and the international community shaping public service improvement and reform to share priorities, concrete experiences and proven approaches, and aims to accelerate the design and implementation of future concrete initiatives and projects at national and regional levels.

This event is a continuation of the first FutureGov Side Event, organized on the margins of the 25th Session of the Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA) on 14 April 2026 in New York that built the foundations of the FutureGov partnership involving the UNDP, the OECD, the World Bank and other key players.
